About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I was admitted to DESU in Altnagelvin hospital for surgery and I cannot speak highly enough about the care I received from the moment I was admitted right through to discharge. The nurses were so caring and even enjoyed some light banter which was great recovery medicine post op. To Mr Macleod urologist I am a new man.   I have been in pain and discomfort for so long -  I feel l have been given a new lease of life.

To the nurse who found my medal and contacted my daughter,  thank you as it was of sentimental value to me.

All round first class treatment well done to our amazing NHS workers.

HI My name is Rowena Mc Hugh and I am the sister of the DESU department at Altnagelvin Hospital.

I firstly would like to thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience whilst receiving care with us. As a team we work hard to provide a high standard of care, we strive to do our very best every day, whilst enjoying some light banter too.

I look forward to sharing your kind words with the team, I know they will be delighted to read this. It will be rewarding for them to know that all their hard work does not go unnoticed.

Secondly I want to wish you a speedy recovery and all the very best in the future.
