(as a parent/guardian),

My son attended the Orthoptic service at Queen Margaret Hospital for his preschool screening today and I can’t praise the service enough. He was a bit apprehensive about going but the orthoptist, Zoe, put him at ease straight away. She spent lots of time checking both his eyes and made it a fun experience all the way through. He was chuffed to bits with his sticker too. Thank you :)

Many thanks for getting in touch to tell us about your positive experience of our service. I'm pleased to hear that you son had a fun time at his preschool vision screening appointment when he attended the Children's Orthoptic Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital. We try to make the appointment enjoyable for the children having this very important check and I will share your feedback with Zoe and the rest of our team. I'm sure Zoe will be delighted to hear that she was able to reassure your son and turn the tests into a game that he enjoyed.
