"I have been told I’ll be waiting months for a phone appointment"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

Have been under the colorectal department at Crosshouse hospital for many years now with issues that I don’t feel get listened to.

Have recently had a 2+ year wait (due to covid) to get another colonoscopy however due to this wait and worsening symptoms I wanted to speak with the Dr before getting what I feel is another invasive treatment!

I have been told I’ll be waiting months for a phone appointment to discuss. How is this helpful for anyone with physical health issues that are sensitive and may require physical examination?

Feel like they’d rather put me through this treatment than take 15 minutes to speak to me face to face!
