"They have been absolutely amazing"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Clinical Oncology Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service Victoria Hospital / Clincal Oncology Victoria Hospital / Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service (RCDS) Western General Hospital / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

2 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer after a few scans I was given 2 choices. I chose to have my prostrate removed after operation it was found to have spread to lymph nodes so I had chemotherapy and hormone injections after a while I had radiotherapy for 7 weeks, picked up by ambulance taken to Western in Edinburgh and back home. We've shrunk the cancer to almost nil. I'd like to thank everyone from the drivers, nurses, doctors, surgeons, and everyone connected to the NHS they have been absolutely amazing, awesome can't thank them enough 😊 😀

Dear Don Wan

That is fantastic news.

Thank you for thanking our PTS drivers who transported you to and from Radiotherapy every day. It is a job I used to do and it is always great when you see a patient some time later and they have good news.

If there is a particular driver or drivers that you would like us to pass your thanks to could I ask that you email sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name and address and the names of the drivers and we can ensure that they receive your compliments. If you could also supply your Care Opinion username it will tie the two together.

Kindest regards

David

Dear Don Wan

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us via Care Opinion. I am so sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with prostate cancer and that it had spread to your lymph nodes which resulted in chemotherapy and radiotherapy following surgery. I am pleased to know that your treatment was able to shrink the cancer. It is great to hear that the NHS gave you fantastic support and care.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated and I hope you continue to keep well.

Best Wishes

Murdina
