About: Victoria Hospital / Dermatology

(as a parent/guardian),

Having had a quick referral process from our GP for my son’s skin (excema) we were seen today in the dermatology department. I had to phone on our way from the car park to check where the entrance was and spoke to a lovely calm and helpful lady on the entrance desk of the department.  We were seen at exactly the time scheduled for our appointment and expertly looked after by Louise. She was so patient, kind and friendly throughout our appointment which ended up with my son getting dressings on his arms and legs. The whole process took over an hour and throughout this time I really felt our son’s needs were met plus I was given reassurance and confidence to move forward with his treatment. I cannot thank Louise enough.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such touching feedback in regards to your experience in Dermatology at the Victoria Hospital.

I'm glad your experience from start to finish was such a positive one and more importantly your son's has had his treatment started quickly, hopefully this will help with his symptoms and he will start to see a difference with his skin. It is also really important you feel confident after this appointment to move forward with his treatment plan, if you need any further advice or have any questions please do not hesitate in getting in touch.

Thank you for taking the time to post such a supportive message following your visit to the VHK Dermatology department.

The previous response echoes everything I would want to say in response to you and your son's experience while attending the Dermatology. Thank you both (above) for taking the time to respond to my post. We have since had a follow up appojntment which was equally as positive an experience. I feel people are all too quick to judge and complain and felt it was important to share the positives of the NHS staff and services we are part of.
