"Not as thorough as I would expect"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I was told by the rheumatologist that I didn't have a specific medical disorder which they were conducting investigations into. However, the investigations were not as thorough as I would come to expect and did not meet the high standards that I expect either. I believe that important information was either omitted or not considered that this information would have helped reach the correct diagnosis. Also, the length of time taken from referral to diagnosis (or in this case lack of) was completely unacceptable for an organisation as large as the NHS - a total of 16 months.

I will receive the diagnosis that I know is correct. If it takes me the rest of my days. I will not be gaslit and I operate by my own rules. Not the rigid, inflexible rules that I have experienced. It appears I have been underestimated and invalidated.
