"No access to crisis team when needed them"

About: Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust

(as a service user),

To get an assessment with the crisis team so you can stay at home and not be admitted ( which in my case is always on a section) you have to ring the awful crisis line. Awful because no compassion at all in my experience and seemed to be staffed by such angry people. Which is last thing needed when suicidal and have made plans to end life which I had done.

Rang them 3 times and swear will never do again as made me worse. was told couldn't be assessed as that wasn't the process or policy yet they offered no support at all. Really bad experience when suicidal and took so much out of me to call them, I don't know what to do and I am not going to go to a A&E because that is so traumatic when have a mental health crisis and the hub at St Pancras hospital turns you away if don't have an appointment. I needed to be safe in my own home which I cant go back to now as I live on my own and I am unsafe on my own.
