"Referral Letter"

About: Vale Medical Centre

I was referred by the doctor on the 7th March to a clinic ( in my on line notes which I can view) and to date, I still have not received my appointment. I have emailed the reception- Nothing, my consultant at Guys has wrote to the them last month as this effects the CKD but I have still not have any contact what so ever from the surgery about this. Absolute disgrace and zero empathy with their patients. Any one can so sorry, its what you do about it to prevent it from happening again to other patients that counts.

I have been with this practice for over 25 years and Doctor Israel senior ( god rest him) and his partners at the time would NEVER have allowed this to happen as they were all about the patients and following up care.

Dear Jayne.

While I understand your frustration, as you said in your post, the referral was made on 7th March by the practice. If there is a delay or if the waiting times are too long, you will need to contact the hospital. It is the hospitals who manage the referrals and issue consultants appointments times and dates not GP surgeries.

Kind Regards,

Vale Medical Centre
