The last 6-8 weeks I have been developing a rash all over my body, the GP was a bit dismissive of it and treated for eczema, scabies, etc and nothing worked.

Last week everything went Pete Tong, the spots turned to blisters, burned & itched like the surface of the sun & my whole body was one yellow, crusty, infected scab…..nice! To cut a long story short, the guys at the Dermatology Unit at RCHT Truro, saved my life! They saw me at incredibly short notice, they bathed me, comforted me, treated my infection, blisters/sores, I actually fell asleep having a biopsy done, they’ve done this everyday for the week, unbelievably caring I was that relieved to be in the right hands. Dr Bailey, Sharon, Rebecca, Judith, Sonam, Adam to name but a few, the receptionist even, SO understanding, caring & thoughtful, truly I’ve never known care like it! Thank you so, so much to you all, I know I’m not out of the woods yet but Jesus, I honestly wouldn’t like to think what would have happened if they’d not helped me.

Hello LinD22, Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback about your experience in the dermatology unit. I am sorry that you were not able to get a diagnosis or successful treatment for several weeks, it can be difficult to find the right treatment for an unknown rash. Thankfully we were able to treat and support you at dermatology and I am so happy that it has helped you. I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the entire team as helping patients is why we all come to work each day. I wish you all the best for the future
