"The wonderful care my daughter received"

I want to feedback how amazing the paediatric A&E team at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock were for my little girl.

My daughter is only 4 and had an accident resulting in a deep cut to the corner of her lip. To prevent scarring she needed stitches but given the area and her age this was difficult to do. The team discussed all options with me and explained in simple terms to my daughter what would happen. When using the cold spray the nurses sung songs from the Frozen movie. They let her pick how to receive the entonox either by mouth piece or mask. Two of the team stayed past their shift end to see through the procedure and came to say goodbye and do a final check on her.

They were clearly very busy but still took the time to be beyond caring and patient with her. What could have been a very traumatic experience ended up in my daughter now saying she wants to be a doctor.
