"Left waiting and felt ignored"

(as a service user),

I was referred an urgent admission to AMRA at QMC Nottingham by my GP. Attended approx midday, blood taken for testing of possible blood clots on lung. I was also tested for Covid. After 4  1/2 hours I was informed I had tested positive for covid, a doctor moved me to a separate room away from the waiting area.

3 more hours waiting, with no staff having even come to the room, I asked a nurse if I had been forgotten about, was assured I hadn't, probably still awaiting blood test result. Approx an hour later I buzzed for staff to again ask why I was still waiting, and was told was waiting for an Xray. Another hour later I again buzzed and said I wanted to go home, I was in discomfort and pain with both a kidney stone and kidney cancer, and wanted to go home .A nurse said they would speak to the doctor to find out why I was still there, without returning.

After 10 and a half hours waiting I again buzzed to say I would leave and return home, which I did at 11 pm. I still have no idea what the results were.

Upon moving me to a room for 6 hours I felt completely forgotten about, numerous requests for updates were ignored .
