"Dermatology Outpatient visit"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Dermatology

(as the patient),

While I had to wait a few months for the appointment I  cannot fault the care received.

I was greeted by a. named nurse - Laura who was most attentive, caring and accompanied me throughout my visit to the clinic. The consultant was unhurried explaining everything and was very reassuring.  It ended up that I needed a cyst removed. This was done on the spot under local anaesthetic by the consultant with ‘my’ nurse assisting. Both explained each step of the procedure every step of the way.

Considering the pressures on the NHS at the moment the Dermatology team are maintaining a gold standard of care.

Dear PatientPatient

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am delighted to hear that your experience of care was so positive. Despite the pressures on our systems, our teams work extremely hard to provide the best possible service for our patients, and I know that your kind words will make it all worthwhile for our lovely dermatology team. I will personally ensure that the relevant people are informed of your post and the kind sentiments that you have posted.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience

Kind regards

Alexis
