"Double pnenmonitis"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Medicine (Wards 2,10,12 and 17)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 2 in september 2021 suffering from double pneumonia. Due to lack of oxygen I was slowly suffocating. I read a lot of negative reviews about monklands and yet as a former patient i can tell you in ward 2 even the cleaners were brilliant, I honestly cant speak highly enough of the staff they were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for me.

People want to remember that they probably have bad days at their work. nurses have them as well, I would not like to do their job,its got to be both physically and emotionally draining so give them a break nobody is perfect.

Anyway my thanks to all the staff doctors nurses cleaners in ward 2, im only writing this because of the care they gave me when i was in

Thank you ....you were brilliant

Dear Tiggur

Thank you for taking time to share your story following your recent admission to University Hospital Monklands ward 2.

Really pleased to hear had a positive experience at what would have been a worrying time for you. It is great encouragement for staff to be recognised and feel valued by people accessing services.

It will be a pleasure to share your feedback with the team.

Wish you well in your recovery.

Thank you

Karen

Dear Tiggur,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a post on the Care Opinion Platform. You had pneumonia which is horrendous (unfortunately I know first hand) but to have double pneumonia...just awful.

Really appreciate your kind words and thoughts and I will be sure to share them with our whole team in Ward 2 (inc Doctors, Nurses and Domestic Staff and Porters). I am certain that the team will welcome this feedback with real gratitude and thanks.

Take care and thank you again,

Gav
