"I would like to thank all concerned"

I cannot fault any part of my treatment. I have really been looked after, for which I'm truly grateful and would like to thank all concerned.

Poem to tell my story.

As I celebrate my birthday and the 77 years I've seen I wallow in memories of the good that's been I've toured the world, cruised the seas even done a sky dive, climbed hills and mountains, walked a mile, felt good to be alive

Then came that day last august when I stumbled and suffered a stroke Paralyzed down my right side unable to move/speak was no joke I said "goodbye" to my happy life as the future looked so bleak 7 weeks in hospital, after 2, I managed to speak I really wanted to end it all but then I thought of you My wonderful family with all your support, I hoped you'd pull me through

Now here I am after 9 months, mobile and verbal, no less Having just got back from the USA where I wore my pretty dress to the wedding of my first born - my aim set and achieved 

Who'd have thought 9 months ago my goal would be believed? You've all been truly wonderful with your help and support picking me up whenever, without a second thought If not for you my dear, special friends, I don't know what I'd do But I know your care and endless love gives me strength to pull through.
