"I didn't foresee the care and time that was afforded to me"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

I have never had to stay overnight in a hospital setting and I was nervous as well as feeling really unwell. The nursing staff were amazing whilst I was being treated in the C.A.D. I was then moved to ward 3E, again I was very nervous and unsure about my surroundings. I didn't need to be nervous as the nursing staff were so lovely and also explaining everything that was happening. All nurses and assistants were amazing helping me to the toilet and assisting in shower. I then moved to a different room where Joanne looked after all four of us throughout the day who were in the ward. The nursing assistants also couldn't be more helpful with personal hygiene and providing lots of lovely mugs of tea! (Thank you). I honestly didn't foresee the care and time that was afforded to me and I will always be grateful. The staff are so understaffed and still manage to give a five star service (5/5) :)

Dear robinpk45,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback via Care Opinion. Coming in to hospital is such a worrying time and it is understandable that you would have been very anxious. It is so nice that the staff were able to support you at this time. Care and compassion are so important as well as all the other technical aspects of care.

The team will be delighted to read your feedback and in particular Joanne. I hope you are now feeling better.

Best Wishes,

Christine and Team Ward 3E
