"Dad's recent admission to A&E"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My Dad was recently referred to his local emergency department by his oncology team at the Beatson. He was seen really quickly despite the department and staff being extremely busy.

He seen by Gary an ANP who quickly identified the problem and came up with a treatment plan which rectified the problem.

My Dad felt he was treated with respect in a professional and friendly manner. He was kept informed throughout. Made to feel comfortable and thankfully was able to get home.

A massive thank you to all the staff who looked after him. They are obviously under tremendous pressure at the moment but everyone's care and compassion, especially Gary's did not go unnoticed. Thank you.

Dear LW17

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the treatment your father received whilst having to attend the Emergency Department here at University Hospital Wishaw. I indeed hope that the treatment plan put in place was of benefit to your dad and that he is feeling somewhat better.

It is always nice to get positive feedback and I will ensure this will be shared with Gary and the Emergency team, who I have know doubt will be delighted with this feedback.

Thank you once again and Best Wishes

Faith
