"I am so blessed that I am saved"

About: CGL Birmingham / Health & Wellbeing Hub

(as a service user),

CGL and the salvation army saved my life. I was I the pit of despair and my health was failing. I found myself alone and in hospital dying from a broken heart and so very sick in agony. I could not walk, it was hell. One shared house after another and the demon of addiction was leading me to hell for sure. As I said I felt I was already there because of physical, phycological and spiritual pain. I was dead inside and out! All these people praying for me but I didn't know.

An outreach worker from CGL sort me out and I didn't give up even though I had finding solace in an on going relationship with one of several demons, The biggest being addiction. I am so blessed that I am saved and not where many addicts that I knew are today. Sorry to say they didn't make it. I am coming through the worst of it and there's light in my life thanks to CGL and the primary homeless health exchange, not forgetting the salvation army and social services Birmingham. Thankyou love you all.

 In Jesus, Amen.

Dear snowcn44,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback about our services, we really appreciate it. My name is Tasneem and I'm part of the team that listens and responds to feedback like yours.

Firstly I'd like to say how sorry I am to hear about the struggles you faced from your addiction. It sounded like it was such a difficult part of your life and I can only imagine what that must have been like. As you mentioned, the feelings and demons you were experiencing and fighting against would have been so hard to get through but you overcame it. You accepted the support that was out there and you should be so proud of yourself for doing so.

I'm so happy knowing that you now have light in your life from the support you got from our services as well as other services in Birmingham. That is big progress from how you were when dealing with your addiction. I hope you're proud of your progress so far!

Wishing you all the best for the future.

Kind regards,

Tasneem
