"Medication mess ups continue"

About: General Practices in NHS Highland

(as the patient),

I call in for several repeat prescriptions. 2 are always incorrect & one is missed frequently. Prescriptions comes as 25 mg instead of 50 mg so I must take 2. Every single time I call in they give me a 4 day supply & I must call back to request a refill. Please give me more than a 4 day supply. I live on an island & often can’t get the refill before I run out. Since I take this medication for life, it is rather annoying.

I also take a medication for my autoimmune disease and it is often completely missed so I have to call again once the chemist gets my other drugs. This medication can take up to 2 weeks for the chemist to acquire, so this is a threat to my health should I run out.

I also use 2 different muscle relaxers (one at night & the other occasionally during the day) & the last 3 times I’ve asked for one of them, the other was prescribed. I called again today & actually spelled the drug which shouldn’t be necessary as the names are quite different from each other. I had to call for more than a 4 day supply of the antihistamine as well… again. This time I stated that if there is a problem getting what I asked for, then I will need to speak with the doctor about my medication regime.
