"Excellent care and attention ."

On 25th June ,I attended the minor injuries unit with my brother-in-law who had fallen the previous day leaving him in need of care for wounds on three of the fingers on his right hand .The wound on his middle finger was particularly nasty, and although having been dressed on the day of the accident

continued to bleed overnight leading to our visit to the minor injuries unit.

My brother -in -law has recently had a mini stroke and I was allowed to enter the treatment room with him.

I am not a person prone to exaggeration, but I can only describe the treatment provided by the nurse as phenomenal.

She cleaned the wound ,re-dressed it ,and her professionalism and care were exemplary.

She then gave my brother -in-law an anti tetanus shot.

She was also concerned that there may still have been some grit in the wound so arranged for an X Ray at our local Redditch hospital and promised to phone with the results which she did early evening.

Her concerns were justified as the X Ray did indeed reveal three particles of grit inside the wound which could have led to infection.

She arranged a consultation with a specialist at The Alexandra Hospital Redditch for the 27th June to treat this as required .

I know she was very busy, but the comments I have made already don't even begin to describe how impressed we both were with her .

She is a total credit to the National Health Service and her profession in every conceivable way.
