I have just got home from a hip replacement and called the surgery to arrange a letter to halo gym for the referral team to assess me and give me a training routine.
Having spent a hr on the phone the receptionist told me I had to make an appointment with the doc.
I had to suggest a phone appointment.
The earliest was 19th July. Great that would do.
She then tells me the letter would take a few months to process.
I need physio and a training regime soonish not 3 or 4 months time when my mobility is lost and its too late to remedy.
I appreciate the receptionists are just answering phones all day but just a small amount of thought and compassion would not go amiss.
This response is totally unacceptable. When ill patients need treatment while there is a chance of success but the receptionist was reducing the possibility of that success with her response.
"Disappointed "
