I visited A&E with my toddler today, she had a bad fall and I was worried she had broken her nose. She was put through to minor injuries and was seen within minutes. She saw a nurse for triage and then the doctor. I was blown away by how lovely they both were, she was so upset and they got her to laugh and smile. The doctor even recited some Shakespeare, played with her, shared his Jaffa Cakes with her and gave her a teddy bear to take home. He was just wonderful. He reassured me completely that she would be OK.

I am ever so grateful for their hard work, beautiful bedside manner and for looking after my precious daughter the way they did. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback from your experience whilst in the Emergency Department at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. I do apologise that I have not had the earlier opportunity to respond back to you.

I hope your daughter recovered well from her incident and is enjoying her teddy bear.

It is always lovely to receive comments of appreciation which, amidst the constant pressures in the NHS, are a real boost to staff morale and I will be happt to share your comments with the Doctors and Nurse in the Emergency Department.
