"Unhelpful eating habits and thought patterns."

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

When I started my sessions at Inclusion, I was feeling fairly low with raised anxiety. I also experienced unhelpful thought patterns and comfort eating. My self care was minimal as I was so busy looking after others.

My therapist worked with me to challenge my thought processes in much detail. It was a long but very useful process. My therapist helped me realise that I was important and self care is so vital to my wellbeing. My eating is better and I am starting to value myself more. My mood had improved and if I do feel anxious, it is normal anxiety that I feel more able to cope with. Thank you Viki for all your patience, guidance and your time. You remained professional, empathic and caring throughout every session.

Dear warmfw88,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Inclusion Thurrock. I am sorry to hear that you was going through a hard time but well done for having the courage to reach out for help despite feeling low.

It can be tough when we are busy looking after others to remember to also look after ourselves, but, self-care is essential for our mental health and it makes us better equipped to manage stress.

I am so pleased to hear that you are starting to value yourself more and that your mood has improved. You have worked so hard within your sessions and you should be proud of yourself.

Viki will really appreciate your kind words.

I wish you all the best.

Ellie O’Shea
