(as a service user),

I am always given my script in the reception or near the tables. I know we are all here for the same reason, but I would prefer being given my script in private, in one of the rooms. I thought it was just a one-off but it happens all the time now.

I don't want everyone to know how much my methadone is or my full name as well. Just no privacy anymore and I feel like the key-workers don't seem to care.

Holistically supporting adult service users to initiate recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence; empowering Service Users to build their own recovery capital and supporting them to move into long term sustained recovery and social (re) integration. It is my responsibility to co-ordinate the work and development of all Pathways to Recovery through Peer Mentors and provide a point of liaison for Service Users and their feedback.

A discussion was had with staff in the way in which they hand out prescriptions for prescribed medication and have been instructed of the need for consents and confidentiality during this process. Staff have been reminded that being given a prescription requires service users to confirm their date of birth, acknowledgment of dose and their address and this conversation should only take place in a private one to one setting.
