"Highly recommended"

I had surgery at Liverpool women's hospital in June 2022 and stayed in the gynae ward for 3 days.

I chose the women's over my local Wirral hospital due to poor care I experienced there and was so glad I did.  The whole process and care I received at the women's was excellent. 

From checking in on the day of surgery, I met hcas, nurses, consultant, doctor and anaesthetist who all explained their role and what would happen. All were friendly and made me feel at ease, answering any questions I had and were honest about the process. 

The care I received on the ward afterwards was fantastic. The consultant and other surgeon visited me each day even at the weekend to check on my progress and explained everything that had happened in surgery and what to expect. The care from nurses on the ward was exceptional. I was treated as an individual and they worked hard to support me to get better and get home. All staff on the ward, both day and night, were caring and supportive. I would highly recommend the women's for any gynae issues.
