"Ask My GP is good"

I haven't needed to consult any of the GPs here since before the pandemic, but on previous times when I'd tried to book a face to face appointment I've had bad experiences of some of the delays that others have reported in their reviews, which left me wondering whether I'd be better off going to minor injuries or a walk in centre next time I needed medical help.

This time I used the Ask My GP service on a Monday morning, after the Pharmacist I consulted at a high street chain on Sunday examined me and told me I probably needed antibiotics. I typed in my request first thing in the morning and the GP phoned me back in about an hour, confirmed I needed antibiotics ASAP, and prescribed them for me to collect from the linked JHoots pharmacy, so that I was able to start the course the same morning. All very fast and efficient. I would recommend using AskMyGP for conditions that might not need a face to face consultation.
