"Increasingly concerned about getting hearing aid batteries"

About: Victoria Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as the patient),

I'm increasingly concerned about getting hearing aid batteries, I was told I could get them at my local library but they are running short and have been told they won be getting any more in.

Now I wear 2 hearing aids and need 2 pack of my battery type, why can't I get in touch with Audiology to find out what is happening about them and also without them I cant hear.

Dear Beebobby,

Thank you for this message, I am sorry to read of the growing concern over your own hearing aid battery supply.

I can confirm there is no battery supply issue at present and there are no plans to reduce or withdraw battery provision for NHS hearing aid users at any of our distribution partners in local libraries, health centres or GP Practices.

In addition to local collection we can also fulfil battery requests via email, fife.audiology.fife@nhs.scot or by calling 01592 643355 extension 28355

I hope this information proves to be helpful and allays the concern you have raised with this message

Best regards, David
