"Excellent Practice"

From the moment I stepped the door of Spamedica at Sittingbourne,

an air of friendly professionalism was very apparent. The reception gentleman was positive, knowledgeable and fully au fait with my appointment and purpose of my visit. I was escorted to a waiting area while my pre-assessment details were checked and verified. After just a few minutes I was taken to a room where various technical pieces of eye technology were used to measure and check

such info as lens dimensions, pressure readings, retinal photography etc. No discomfort was experienced. Staff were happy to answer any questions I had. I was then seen by a nurse who took various readings including temperature and blood pressure. I was then seen by the optometrist who outlined the procedure for my next visit, at a future date, which would be to remove the lens from my right eye only and replace it with a new lens. All my questions were fully answered in terms that I could understand. I was taken back to the reception area where I was given a date for my operation. I was asked if the date was OK for me. It was clearly stated that the date could be changed to better suit my diary if required. When I returned for my right eye surgery the same high levels of professionalism and courtesy were extended throughout my visit. The actual surgical procedure itself was really brief, only taking about 15 minutes. My surgery was yesterday, 9th June 2022. There is certainly nothing to fear in the surgical procedure itself. Everything was fully explained at both my pre-assessment appointment and again on the day of the surgery. I really cannot recommend this practice highly enough as they were absolutely excellent at every stage of the entire experience.
