I have just been discharged from ward 9D in QEUH having had emergency bowel surgery. I have to comment on the care I received there as it was outstanding. Senior Charge Nurse Myles should be very proud of her amazing team. I remember some names but not them all, please don't be offend if your not there. I’m getting old and forgetful. Staff Nurses like Jodie, Johnathon, Cameron, Chelsea, Margaret and Chevonne were caring, compassionate and professional. Ensuring the care I received excelled. Even the students were working at an advanced level, Lucy and the young man involved my care were fantastic. I also cant fail to mention the absolutely amazing team of clinical support workers, Scott and the girls on night shift could not have done more. Last but not least my amazing consultant surgeons Mr ALani and Mr Shapter ensured all decision making was shared and I also new I was in kind, capable and proficient hands. The NHS is lucky to have you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
