"I did not know what the answer phone message referred to."

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Referral from Doctor for Endoscopy. Doctor did not mentioned TRAQs there I did not know what the answer phone message referred to.

- It was not addressed to me specifically

-I worried - that I might mean there may have been a problem with my bloodt test as there was a reference to the NHS.

As the Doctor had not explained the TRAQ procedure, a message which basically said - "please call NHS TRAQs" was a little worrying.

- Did not proceed along this route and used private healthcare.

Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your recent TRAQS experience and we are sorry that the GP failed to supply you with adequate information regarding our service. You should have been provided with a leaflet explaining what would happen next and we would be happy to send this to you if you would like to contact us and give us your details. This should have been provided at the time of your consultation with your GP.

With regards to the telephone message, patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance and we are unable to leave a personal message regarding the nature of the call in case the recipient is not the person to whom it is directed. Understandably this can be a little confusing but is not meant to cause any undue distress.
