I turned up at A & E after seeing my GP earlier in the week and being treated with antibiotics for severe diarrhoea and agonising stomach cramps that I had been having for nearly 4 weeks.  I was told by what I found to be a quite abrupt assessment nurse that I would have to wait 10 hours to be seen and there was no doctor on duty in the department, so I'd best go home. I turned up there with good reason only to be made feel like a time waster and extremely felt worthless.
I'm now coming to my 5th week of this and my mental health is at the end of its tether to say the least . For all the the pain I was in I was polite and well mannered. Before xmas last year I had my prostate removed due to prostate cancer which so far is in remission, by a great consultant who was very well mannered and polite at castle hill for which I was extremely grateful . How can 2 hospitals be so different in there attitude when both are part of the NHS?   Hull royal treatment in the past was good, but now I think it is more like a third world hospital.
