(as the patient),

Most staff lovely, kind and caring.

Hygiene terrible doctors and nurses, not once washed or cleansed hands between patients or on living ward. Terrible. I even saw some staff rubbing their own noses or head on rounds.

My name is Aileen Cassidy and I am Lead Nurse for surgery in the Northern Trust.

Firstly can I thank you for taking time to share feedback about your experience in the surgical ward. Receiving feedback, either positive or negative, is very important to us as it helps to both reassure staff, and helps us to improve our services and care delivery for all patients.

I have shared your feedback with the Ward Manager. She was disappointed to read that this was your experience and she will share your story with her team as this is not the standard of practice expected on our surgical wards. We would also like to know more detail about your experience and would appreciate if you were able to make contact with our Service User Feedback Department (contact details below) to discuss this further?
