"The paramedics were just great as they worked hard to make my dad comfortable in difficult circumstances"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 4 South Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My elderly father has been in hospital for over 2 weeks now and was admitted due to me having to call 999.

The paramedics were just great as they worked hard to make my dad comfortable in difficult circumstances, (access within house, pain and informing him what was going on) they were very professional.

He was seen and accessed relatively quickly within a&e and a specialist was consulted.

The next day the surgeon and specialist consultant met and consulted each other to arrive at 3 different solutions, presented to my dad with family present.

I cannot recommend the service he has had highly enough in managing what is a difficult and complicated problem by all the staff we met. It had been handled with consideration expertise and compassion.

What are brilliant service we have here in Craigavon, All staff should be very proud of themselves for what they do for us!

Dear Aoiyf36,

Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback, it was so encouraging to hear about the excellent care your family member received from all the staff involved. It was also particularly reassuring to hear about the compassionate and professional service provided by the NI Ambulance Service paramedics and I do hope your father is recovering well.

Best wishes

Neil
