"Great care - poor security guards"

Me and my wife took our 1 year old to A&E after a suspected head injury. Arrived just before 4am and were seen at 9am - quality of care excellent. Only disappointment is that at 8am (having been waiting 4 hours in what was now an empty waiting room) 2 security guards rudely came up to us and told one of us to leave as there is a single parent rule. Given we had already been there 4 hours and with a very distressed child i was extremely disappointed to be told this - were were in an empty waiting room and none of the staff cared that there were 2 of us. Why let your amazing medical staff down with such cold and dispassionate security guards?
