"Wonderful staff"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine

(as a relative),

My Mum had a car accident and required to be checked at ED as she bumped her head and was a little disorientated at the scene. She was seen quickly, observations taken and monitored, information given and was discharged. She is well I am pleased to say. All of this happened so smoothly but the biggest element for my Mum was the kindness shown to her by the receptionist, triage nurses and medical staff. Their calmness, empathy, time taken to explain things and humour took away any stress and shock she had. She wanted me to pass on how wonderful staff were.

Dear Grateful3,

I am sorry to hear that your Mum was involved in an accident and had to come to the Emergency Department. Many thanks though for taking the time to write in about your experience. I will ensure this is shared with the team and know how much it will mean to them.

I hope your Mum is recovering well

Julie
