Through an appointment at the rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic, further investigation led, rapidly and completely unexpectedly, to admission, angioplasty and fitting of cardiac stents. The staff were unfailingly informative, courteous and helpful. I was particularly impressed by the way staff I had met on the first day came to talk to me on the ward on the following two days. The various services seemed very well connected to each other throughout. (It was even a relief to be told that the car park charge for 48 hours would be only 5 pounds in the circumstances of the shock admission.
Relatively minor quibbles were the standard of the food (usually not low fat) and the length of time it took to get drugs from the Pharmacy on the day of discharge.
