"A really positive experience"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I attended A & E with my 86 year old mum who had disrupted speech, felt very unwell and was very shakey.

Mum was seen by a variety of professionals including Dr Bullut and Christopher the paramedic student.

Mum was treated immediately and with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect. They completed thorough clinical assessments and efficiently decided on a care plan.

A & E was as usual busy but staff were heard to be having unhurried conversations with patients which really matters

We couldnt have experienced better care and were clear on how to access further help and from whom on discharge

Dear Patient68

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to you and your mum's experience of using the A&E Department.

It was great to hear of the care and compassion shown by the staff who were looking after your mum in what must have been a very worrying time for you all as a family.

I'm glad your mum was well looked after while she was under our care and the staff provided information on how you can seek further help if needed on discharge.

I will be sure to pass on your thanks to all the staff involved especially Dr Bullut and Christopher the paramedic student who I'm sure will be touched to hear your comments.

I hope your mum is now feeling a lot better.

Kind regards

Kevin
