"Pleasant and manner"

About: Community Nursing Services / Sherwood Community Nursing

(as a service user),

Six months ago I was admitted to hospital with what turned out to be a broken back, one of my vertebrae was described as rubble. I came home form hospital and my husband phoned our county council to see what help would be available. Shortly after that we have a gentlemen called Paul come out to see us and assess my problems. Equipment was ordered from the Red Cross and was delivered (on the day they said!). After that Ms  Littler (physio) and Mrs Wagstaff (OT) came out, and kept coming until I was discharged, less than a week ago. Both gave me physical assistance, and hope! They are very professional, but with a pleasant open manner, without their expertise and encouragement I doubt I would be in the  position which I am in today, which is good. I did not know what to expect, but what I do know is I could not have asked for more.

Dear Carer4

I'm sorry for the delay in saying thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about the great service you received. I think your husband deserves the congratulations too along with the physio and the OT. Your husband did a great job sorting out what you needed!

I was so glad to read that you are making a good recovery after such a serious injury. It's encouraging for other people to read this feedback to see that there's so much that can be done with the right amount of support and clinical input.

I wish you a continued recovery

Kind regards

Jane
