"Advice from Urology team has made my life better"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I attended for a uroflowmetry test. The staff there were very understanding and above all treated me as a person and not another patient who had to be treated.

I did have difficulty in passing urine, but was treated with dignity and was told that it wasn’t a problem which made me feel a lot happier. Rebecca, Ansu and sadly I cannot recall the name of the male nurse all were very professional and friendly.

I was asked if I wanted to have a TURP but declined it. I was given some advice to alleviate the problem at night. I have followed their advice and it has made my life better. A great team who are a credit to the NHS.

Dear Bob the old firemat

Please accept my apologies for the delay in my reply but I have just returned from annual leave. Thank you so much for leaving such positive feedback. I was very pleased to read that you found our Urology Clinical Nurses to be understanding and treat you as a person. I am pleased that their help and advice has improved your quality of life with regard to your urinary tract symptoms at night. I will pass on your feedback to Ansu Manoj, our Lead Urology Nurse.

Many thanks again.

Kind regards

Paula
