About: Dame Carol Detoxification Service

(as a service user),

Every member of staff made me feel very welcome from the moment I came into the building as I was suffering with a lot of anxiety. All treatment was of the highest professional level.

The property felt very homely, not at all clinical. I feel like I've truly benefitted from the workshops and involvement in all activities.

My only criticism is that the service is completely non-smoking, giving up cigarettes at the same time as other addictions was incredibly challenging.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback with regards to your treatment journey with us.

It's completely normal to feel anxious when you first arrive at DCDS but I'm so thankful you feel our treatment provided was of the highest professional level.

We feel the group meetings are a great way to structure the day alongside providing support, guidance and knowledge around specific areas during your detox. Staff enjoy delivering these on a daily basis and the feedback we receive is always positive so thank you for adding to this.

The team endeavour to always ensure your stay here is as comfortable as it can be, so it's really nice to hear you had such a positive experience regarding the cleanliness of the unit and group activities.

We are a non-smoking unit but do provide nicotine replacement therapy to help aid you through your time with us. I'm sorry you felt this was challenging and I shall definitely feed this back.

We're really thankful for your feedback and are so very pleased you had such a positive experience within the DCDS unit.
