"Many thanks to all involved in my case"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cardiac Support Services North Devon District Hospital / Cardiology North Devon District Hospital / Urology Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Radiology

(as the patient),

After my initial diagnosis of prostate cancer I eventually had a biopsy which confirmed it.

I have received excellent service from the North Devon District Hospital at Barnstaple.

I recently had another bone scan at the Royal Devon & Exeter and the results were good.

Since then I’ve had a call from the urology department and was told I need a PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan and a MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), the nurse told me that there could be a wait of a couple of months.

I received a appointment for the PET scan at Taunton Musgrove park hospital just two weeks later for a appointment the following week which I am due to attend.

The Taunton hospital explained everything clearly during a phone conversation as to the procedure and the expected results.

Since I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer and to date I cannot fault the treatment and the help I’ve received from all involved from my GP, coronary, Urology and Oncology departments in Barnstaple, Exeter and Taunton.

During the whole process I have been kept informed by phone and mail, and all the staff I have come into contact with have been most helpful and professional while still being humorous which I like.

Many thanks to all involved in my case.
