I was invited to attend an outpatient appointment at Musgrave Park Hospital this week. My x-ray was scheduled for the 1st appointment of the day and to see the consultant 15 minutes later.
I am disappointed and frustrated to say that although I was first on the list I was taken late for both appointments. As I sat in the x-ray waiting room for 15 minutes I was eventually spoken to be a radiologist who seemed surprised to see me. Once that was eventually sorted I was sent back to the main waiting room at 30 mins after my initial appointment only to see the consultant walking in to work. Why were they arriving at work after their 1st scheduled appointment time? I was eventually seen at 9am. Needless to say I was late for a meeting in my own work.
If I have the courtesy, manners and respect to shown up on time for my appointment why can the health service not do the same?
"First on the list but still seen late"
