"Gynaecology Dept visits and caring staff"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I first met Dr Ingyang in November last year. Unfortunately, I had cause to meet with him again - I should add here that it was unfortunate medically speaking, not about having to meet Dr Ingyang himself haha - and I cannot stress this highly enough, I was instantly put at ease during my 1st appointment with him & my nurse, Gemma. Throughout this & further appointments with you, Dr Ingyang, I felt consistently safe, informed, supported & importantly, heard. Thank you. Deeply, thank you.

Fast forward a little & my CNS Denise had expertly handled my random questions & emotions & left me reassured each time. Thank you for this Denise, you got me back on an even keel more than once & I fully appreciate you!

Fast forward again & after recovering well from my surgery in Glasgow, I’ve been in A&E at Crosshouse twice in the last week. I was sent to Gynaecology on the basis I’d seen them recently.

There, I met Gemma again. A familiar face always helps. I noticed charge nurse Lorraine’s shoes. I liked them & told her so. Random, I know. Blame the morphine from A&E. I had the pleasure of seeing Lorraine (& her shoes) again yesterday at my follow up appointment. Student Nurse Leanne joined Lorraine - and Gemma again(!) - in taking care of me. Friendly, attentive & funny, all of them.

I wanted to write because  someone may yet be to meet you all at Gynaecology  & I wanted to offer reassurance to them, but above all else, all of you will say you’re just doing your job, but you deserve praise & to know that you’re appreciated. So, thank you, I appreciate you all.

Ps… Lorraine… I showed my friend & neighbour my stitch. They’re suitably horrified. Haha!
