Dear andromedafn69 - I am very sorry to hear that this has been your experience of social work in BHSCT. I have responsibility for learning and professional development of social workers and oversee issues relating to conduct. There are significant challenges in recruiting care workers and increasing numbers of people needing support but social workers are trained to be respectful, to listen sensitively to people who need our services and to when appropriate help to explore options such as Direct Payments to help people access care. I would like to hear more about your experience and use it to inform learning and improvement. I can be contacted on 02895 041279 if you would like to call me to discuss. Eileen
