"Urgent Care ANP Anya"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Victoria Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I was struggling with a migraine for 6 days and phoned nhs 24. I was triaged to urgent care and seen by an ANP named Anya. She was very thorough, taking all the details she needed and she was empathetic to my symptoms. She used NICE guidelines to check what else could be tried, as I had tried many different treatments for migraine. Overall I was impressed by how thorough she was and very professional and compassionate. She discussed treatment and made sure I was involved in the decision. She also gave me some pain relief before I went home. I was very impressed and wanted to thank Anya for helping. The medication broke my migraine cycle and took the pain away. 

Keep up the good work Anya and thank you so much.

I am glad to see that you had a very positive patient journey from initially contacting 111 through to be the excellent care provided by Anya. I am glad to hear that your migraine symptoms have now resolved.
