"Infusion ward delays"

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre / Ward 8/9 BMTU Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre / Ward B7

(as the patient),

Today I arrived at the Beatson Glasgow for my treatment. As usual, the car park was chaos with patients resorting to parking on pavements, some of these cars having been ticketed. I can only hope cancer patients aren't being fined for having to make their own spaces to park.

So parking chaos aside, i make my way up to ward b7/b8 my treatment . Take a seat. I'm sitting for 40 minutes so far with back pain due to my cancer. They ask me to come in around noon which is when all the nurses seem to go for their lunches. So I'm not sure why I come here just to sit through lunch. Certainly they could schedule by appointment for 1 or 130 so I'm not stuck waiting for ages. This is not the first time this has happened. I also need my pre chemo medication which I must have an hour before my chemo. Couldn't I have my pre meds a bit earlier? It all seems disorganised and I appreciate these hard working nurses it's just sometimes I think things could be ran a bit more smoothly.

Thanks for allowing me to vent and I hope things up in ward b8 can be managed more effectively one of these days.
