"Hip Replacement"

About: Droitwich Spa Hospital

A week ago I had a hip replacement at Droitwich Hospital. From the first appointment with the consultant in 2020 (in whom I had complete trust) and subsequent appointments to prepare for surgery I wanted to write a review to help others suffering in joint pains. I also want to thank the hospital. EVERY single staff member I encountered was friendly, efficient, knowledgable and reassuring. I was only a little apprehensive as I was wheeled down to theatre by a cheery Porter but I need not have worried. After my epidural the last thing I remember was being rolled onto my side. Then I woke up feeling warm and comfy under my duvet. All was over and the operation had gone well. During the next days and 3 nights I was continually monitored by the medical team, nursing staff and physiotherapists. I had my on room, ensuite, TV and amazing food. Nothing was too much trouble. I would award my review 6 stars if I could and to my consultant I say "Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear scrubs!" Thank you all at Droitwich Hospital so very very much.
