"Appointment xray"

About: Accrington Victoria Hospital

Received an appointment for a specific scan. However I had to wait my turn, ‘due to the service being busy’ No apology.

I personally found this, rude and perceive that you have no respect or value of my time.

This is not an urgent care or emergency unit. Why book appointments on bank holidays and not honour the times? Instead of me having to wait in a que with other minor injuries? Limiting seating which was all taken and having to stand up for 30minutes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and raise your concerns on NHS Website. I am very sorry to hear of the wait you have experienced when attending for an x-ray at Accrington Victoria Hospital.

We sincerely apologise that this has happened and your comments have been shared with senior staff. The Radiology Clinical Service Manager has spoken with the Radiographer involved and confirmed that there were several patients from the minor injury unit along with a couple of patients from GP surgeries which the radiographer was dealing at the time and unfortunately this led to a delay which they sincerely apologise for.
