"Having a fall and needing hospital and after care support"

About: Bellshill Locality Support Service / Muirpark (Short Term Rehab) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I fell at home and was unconscious. When found I was taken to the hospital next day and they found fractures to the head. The ambulance people were kindly even when I had to get the ambulance again the next day because I was having periods of confusion. Fiona and & Clair provided occupational support when I was released the next day and I am very grateful for that because I would not have been able do what they did for me and that gave me confidence to take the next steps with mobility aids they arranged. They put me at ease with their friendly and professional manner.

Hello,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience of the care you received during your supported discharge from hospital. It's great to hear that the support provided by the Home Assessment Team has had a positive impact on you recovery and I will be sure to pass on your gratitude to the staff involved in your care.
