About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I wanted to share my experience in the ward after I gave birth to my first baby recently. I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived after having my first baby, as I don’t have much experience around new borns. I was so anxious and struggling with how to console my baby and didn’t know much about breastfeeding and I really wanted to try!

I hope these wonderful girls that I met over a couple of days see this! 

Ellen and Aimee 💜

They were fantastic and stood out more than any of the other people on the ward, they were both so kind caring and passionate about what they do.

They made me feel so at ease and helped me so so much with breastfeeding and with nappy changes and all other things my baby needed. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. I genuinely felt like I knew them for years and they both made my time there so comfortable. All the people were great but these 2 were just extra special and are an asset to the hospital!
