"Fantastic staff and such a great team"

Last week I came in for my double surgery, vasectomy and Circumcision, all at the same time and on local anesthetic.

Prior to this I had a consultation with my Surgeon, Dean, in January. I have to say that I have never met a more down to earth and nice a man as Dean. He sat me down, went through everything with me, giving me a no holds barred run down of the procedure, discomfort and recovery. Dean's manner was excellent and made me feel right at ease.  We shared some stories and had a laugh, which considering how nervous I was about the procedure, was fantastic.

3 months later I was in for my surgery. I met Dean again, he remembered everything about our previous consultation including our personal chats, my kids and what stuff I was into. He was a proper gent again and made me feel so at ease.

I was brought into the room where I met the rest of the team, Vish, Alison and Debbie. They were all fantastic and cared for me in the best possible way throughout.

We got some music on, some classic 90's which put me right at ease. Dean, Vish, Alison and Debbie were fantastic throughout. The procedure was painful and uncomfortable but not as much as I had imagined it would be. All the staff were chatting to me, sharing stories and having a laugh throughout which took my mind off what was happening.

At the end of the surgery, Dean, Vish, Alison and Debbie all made sure I was comfortable and I had plenty of time to make sure I was right before I left.

For such an invasive and scary surgery for me, Dean, Vish, Alison and Debbie made it far more bearable. They all were fantastic and clearly all genuinely cared about how I was feeling and how comfortable I was.

This was at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.  Absolutely fantastic staff and such a great team.
